Introduction
Taiwan Endometriosis Society has been established since September 2015. We aimed for combining international and domestic healthcare professionals and researchers to enhance diagnosis, treatment, academic research and strategic planning of endometriosis. This summer, TES will cover topics from basic research to clinical application to present all attendees with a wealth of powerful insights into the latest research and treatment options. The international symposium will be divided into two parts: “Surgical treatment of endometriosis” and “Endometriosis and infertility”. For the first part, “Surgical treatment of endometriosis”, we invite Professor Masato Nishida to give us insights of surgical treatment for uterine adenomyosis; Professor Masaaki Andou to talk about surgical treatment for deeply infiltrating endometriosis; and local experts Dr. Chung-Hsien Sun and Dr. Nari Kay to discuss laparoscopic endometriosis surgery. The second part “Endometriosis and infertility”, we will have Dr. Toshihiro Fujiwara to talk about management of endometrioma in infertility patients and Professor Thomas Roemer to discuss endometriosis management; Professor Hung-Cheng Lai and Dr. Yen-Ping Ho to talk about epigenomics perspective of endometriosis and the optimization of ART results in patients with endometriosis. We hope that through this international symposium we could bring all the attendees an amazing morning and make Taiwan Endometriosis Society an exceptional international society that combines both academic and clinical research.
